The
Tritech National Science Competition, founded in 2009 by dedicated educators
from the Tzaneen area in Limpopo, South Africa, continues to serve as a
platform to inspire the next generation of scientists. As South Africa and the
world grapple with a growing skills shortage, Tritech aims to foster a love for
science and innovation in young learners, empowering them to become scientists
who will positively impact our environment, society, and economy.
Through
the integration of technology, these young scientists are encouraged to think
critically, identify problems, gather and analyse data, propose solutions, and
effectively communicate their findings. The vision of this project is simple
yet profound: to empower young scientists. Our mission is to develop passionate
individuals capable of conducting thorough scientific research, integrating IT
skills, addressing environmental concerns, and presenting their findings with
clarity and confidence.
